Our accommodations include six cozy log chalets by the water (queen- and king-sized beds, sofa-bed; 1-bedroom with loft, 2-bedroom, honeymoon suite), with 4-piece baths, a woodstove and country furnishings. Television and VCR are available, as is a barbecue. Guests have complete access to our outdoor retreat including the use of canoes, paddle boats, the stocked fish pond and other facilities. There are miles of roads and well-marked trails to explore and the on-site Loughhead Family Demonstration Forest is a fun way to learn about the trees and vegetation of Nova Scotia.

Location
The lodge is located directly on the Mersey River near Liverpool town, southwest of Halifax, Novia Scotia.

Accommodation
Five attractive double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. In addition, the lodge offers a sunroom and deck, a large living room with rustic fireplace, a separate house with sauna and whirlpool, an outdoor fireplace for grilling, office with internet facilities and several canoes which can be used at any time.

Waterfall cottage with terrace located directly at the river. Living/sleeping quarters, bathroom and kitchen. Available to rent, full-board or self-catering.

Best time to travel
Spring, summer and autumn are all ideal for touring, though if you wish to ski, you will naturally have to come in winter or early spring. Swimming and sunbathing is excellent in the summer months of July and August. Enjoy Indian summer from late September to mid October when you can experience an explosion of autumn colours, an abundance of wildlife, and an orchestra of sounds.

Getting there
Fly to Halifax. Mersey River Lodge is a pleasant 150 km drive south of the airport along the picturesque 'Lighthouse Route' with its ever-changing coastline and small fishing villages.

Reservations are recommended, and we accept Visa and MasterCard.

Charming Victorian Inn in century-old home, overlooking the magnificent Bras d'Or Lakes. Located in the heart of the Village and within walking distance of all amenities. In addition to the existing three suites and housekeeping cottage, we have twenty-eight newly constructed, spacious, Victorian-styled rooms, with air conditioning, including six spacious suites with private balcony.
