World-class golf at Cabot Cliffs and the Cabot Trail are half an hour to an hour away, respectively.

Each of our luxurious, 3-bedroom vacation homes feature stunning ocean views, epic Cape Breton sunsets, open-concept floor plans and are packed full of modern amenities including a fully-equipped, open-concept kitchen with stainless steel appliances, air conditioning, satellite TV, wi-fi and laundry center. The bedrooms feature comfortable queen and king-sized beds with premium linens, screened windows and blackout blinds. We are conveniently located within 5 minutes of the shops, restaurants, musical festivals and five beaches of the picturesque seaside community of Port Hood. The charming village of Mabou which has great local food, groceries, hiking, fiddle music and step dance is just fifteen minutes away.  Meanwhile, we are a scenic half hour drive from the five-star Cabot Cliffs Golf course in Inverness and an hour away from the starting point of the world-famous Cabot Trail.  The lakeside town of Baddeck, the historical Fortress of Louisburg and whale watching expeditions are all easy day trips from our property.

Craft distilling is a rich Steinhart family tradition over 300 years in the making. Thomas Steinhart still remembers coming of age in rural Germany, where he spent many happy hours helping his grandfather stoke the woodfired still. Though the fire has long since extinguished and the family farm has been sold, the joy of using natural ingredients to craft superb spirits is still ablaze in Thomas’ memory. ​ Thomas Steinhart is a bold personality, with a flair for rebellion and living life on his own terms. Now, after travelling the world for work, Thomas is ready to settle down on his farm in Antigonish, NS, and revive his family’s heritage by launching Steinhart Distillery.
