Suite Spot is a one bedroom and light filled apartment on the lower level of our home that is right in Mahone Bay, 270 meters from Main Street.  Available to book HERE on AirBnB.

Enjoy the convenience of being steps from all of the amenities in town. You are a short walk to the grocery store and local restaurants. And you are only a few minutes to great coffee and treats at the 'Barn' or a relaxing beer at the Salt Box Brewery (no need to drive!).

Suite Spot is ideally situated and fully equipped to ensure a spot-on holiday.

We are in the heart of Mahone Bay, right behind the famous three churches. All local amenities are within a very short walking distance from Suite Spot.

The closest grocery store/bakery is Joanne's (2 minute walk) - desserts and pies galore. For coffee, walk to Tim Horton's (2 minute walk) or the Barn (5 minute walk) which is a local favourite. For a cold beer, head straight to the Salt Box (6-7 minute walk) - no need to drive anywhere once you are here.

You have access to the entire one bedroom apartment and the pathway and sitting area at the front of the house. The BBQ is also yours to use (near the sitting area) should you wish to do so.

There is also a dedicated parking space for 1 car directly adjacent to the apartment.

And you can see the spires of Mahone Bay's famous three churches as the property sits directly behind them. Should you wish, there is a cut through path across the road that takes you directly into the parking lot of one of the churches and directly across the street from our beautiful waterfront.

There are 2 adirondack chairs out front as well as a BBQ for your personal use. We are also happy to provide the propane if you are there for one week or less.

The area outside the main door of the apartment is newly landscaped (2022) with beautiful plantings along our large rock wall, in front of the house, and beside the house near the parking pad (2023). There are also massive trawler tubs on either side of the main door of the apartment that are planted each spring with gorgeous flower arrangements for the summer. We are working to attract hummingbirds and butterflies and are having great success. The garden is there for your enjoyment! We will add a new garden bed in the spring of 2024. Should you wish to head to one of our local beaches, we provide the beach towels too (beach chairs can be provided upon request).

Escape to the Northumberland Shore and get away from it all at Wallace River Ranch & Domes. During your stay enjoy exploring the ranch on our 36-acre property and visiting our friendly farm animals - goats and ponies. As one of only three domes currently on the premises, you'll have the ranch practically to yourself.

On clear evenings, relax in your private hot tub and gaze up at the starry sky and appreciate the tranquility of being surrounded by nature, trees, and wildlife. Where are we located and what is nearby? We are located just outside Wallace, Nova Scotia, in Kerr's Mill. A 10 minute drive down the road you can enjoy incredible dining at the seaside Wiley’s by the Wharf restaurant overlooking Wallace Harbour.

We are also just 20 minutes away from Ski Wentworth! Visit Blue Sea Beach, just a 15 minute drive from us, where the water can reach 22C in the summer! The village of Tatamagouche is a 20 minute drive away and has shops, restaurants, a popular farmers' market every Saturday, and is home to Tatamagouche Brewing. Pugwash is a short 15 minute drive on the Sunrise Trail which also offers a Saturday farmers' market.

What should I bring? We highly recommend bringing groceries with you for other meals. We do have fully equipped kitchens in our domes. For the colder months of the year bring: Weather appropriate clothing Slippers or warm socks for inside use If you have a kayak, paddleboard, ATV, crosscountry skis, snowshoes or snowmobile - bring them along! Wallace River is great for paddleboarding and kayaking in the spring, summer and fall months. We are also just of the Trans Canada Trail, which is great for ATVs, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking.

Is it warm enough in the winter?Yes! We have wood-burning fireplaces in our domes, a heat pump, and electric heater in the bathroom. Bringing something warm to wear during those chilly winter nights is a good idea.

The 540 square foot studio style cottage features a fully supplied kitchen, queen-size bed, living room with a full/double sleeper sofa, dining area, bathroom and a large patio with a private hot tub along with a BBQ and fire pit.

During your stay you will be able to enjoy an incredible view overlooking the gorgeous Bras d'Or Lake and the mountains in the distance from the floor to ceiling windows.

This is the perfect spot to simply relax yet have all the possibilities to adventure close by. This cottage is fully equipped with everything you need to feel like home for a perfect getaway.

For those who like to cook, each cottage comes with a fully supplied kitchen to prepare anything from Sunday morning breakfast to Friday evening dinner or even just a snack. Your kitchen will feature a fridge with freezer, stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher, a Keurig coffee maker, toaster and any other kitchen essentials you might need.

If you prefer cooking outside, the patio is equipped with a BBQ. Propane and BBQ utensils are provided. Then you can enjoy your meal on the picnic table.

Your open concept living and dining area features a bar style dining table where you can enjoy your meal with a gorgeous view. In the living area you will find a comfy couch where you can sit back and relax while watching your favourite show or movie on the smart tv which offers all popular streaming services. Or if you would prefer books and board games are also provided for your entertainment.

Your spa-like bathroom features a walk in shower with rain shower head, plush towels and all other bathroom essentials.

After an adventurous day wind down in your own private hot tub with a glass of your favourite drink or relax on the patio wrapped in a cozy robe and slippers. Then end the day in the comfy bed with luxurious sheets and pillows.

To make your stay as pleasant as possible other amenities include: fast wifi, heat pump with air conditioning, self check-in with keypad and free parking in front of your cottage.

The Moose River Cottage provides a tranquil and cozy atmosphere where guests can unwind and recharge. It’s tasteful furnishings and serene surroundings will be sure to please any guest.

Boasting 3 bedrooms (upstairs with 1 queen bed, 1 double bed and 2 twin beds) and comfortably sleeping 4-6 people, we are ready to welcome you along with your family or friends! There is a 3-night minimum stay for the cottage.

If you want to do your laundry, you will find a laundromat in Middle Musquodoboit which is about 15 minutes away from the Moose River Cottage - we have no washing machine / dryer in the house. You could also find the bigger groceries stores, Canadian Tire, Walmart and so on in Enfield (35 mins away).
