Nova Scotia enjoys 4 spectacular seasons, each offering much that is unique and special, and Wentworth in particular, is favored with awe-inspiring scenery and an abundance of year round recreation activities. Offering breathtaking year round foliage, from Summer's lush greens to an Autumnal panorama of reds, oranges, and gold, Wentworth is an excellent place to observe wildlife and some of the most astonishing scenery you'll find in Canada.
In spring traditional Sugarbush operations are operational with several in the area offering tours, along with delectable maple based cuisine! This is also a great time to check out the area's waterfalls - from the tumultuous to the most serene.
In summer, try The Lookoff trail behind the hostel, a 2 km hike that rewards hikers with an incredible vista of the whole Wentworth Valley. And don't forget the annual Blueberry Festival!
In Fall Wentworth explodes into colour and to celebrate hosts the aptly named: Fall Festival of Colour, during which you can ride a ski lift to the top of the mountain, arriving at a premier viewing spot that, on a clear day, grants the visitor glimpses of PEI!
Along with all this the hostel grounds themselves are lovely, from the meadow of summer flowers and berries, to apple blossoms and lupines, to blue jays, squirrels and soaring eagles, and the most exquisite sunsets ever. A picture is worth a thousand words, and certainly we will speak of Wentworth forever more.
