River Nest is centrally located along the world famous Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. Our cozy little village has 5 handcrafted cabins and a sauna, each uniquely designed to blend seamlessly with their woodland surroundings and water views.

The River Nest Wilderness Cabins are uniquely handcrafted and individually designed with themes that blend seamlessly with their natural surroundings. Each cabin has a view of the river, and features a patio deck with a roof overhang, which comes in handy if it rains. The quiet location allows for a peaceful and rejuvenating night’s sleep.

Across the street is the North River Kayak Tours, and on-site we have a new sauna, a wood fired pizza oven, a communal fire pit. While sitting on your private deck, you can see the river and immediately feel the harmonious balance in your natural surroundings.
