The Quarterdeck is one of Nova Scotia’s hidden treasures. Centrally located on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, the Quarterdeck is just a 1.5-hour drive from Halifax, Yarmouth, and Annapolis Royal. Open year-round, the property offers 58 accommodations to meet your needs.

* The 13 two-bedroom villas, just steps from the beach, are luxuriously appointed and feature a fully equipped kitchen, private balcony, lower deck and a bathroom on each floor.
* The 2 one-bedroom suites have a galley kitchen, 3-piece bath, and deck.
* The oceanfront three-bedroom unit features a large living/dining area, a full kitchen, 2-piece and 4-piece baths, and a large private deck.
* The six oceanfront Studio rooms each feature a queen bed, small sitting area, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and private balcony.
* 12 lofts, with stunning views of the beach and estuary, are located on the hillside behind the villas.
* The 12 new Hilltop Studio rooms are pet friendly, with a queen bed, small sitting area, small fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and private balcony. Accessible option.
* The 12 new Seawood Apartment style units are pet friendly, with 2 bedrooms both with queen beds, living room, full kitchen and private balconies.
* Select Rooms offer Hot tubs on their private balconies overlooking spectacular Summerville Beach.

These beautiful lofts all feature a window wall opening up to a private terrace, polished concrete floors, glass walk-in rainfall shower, plush pillow-top mattresses, air conditioning, cable TV in bedrooms and living room, and Wi-Fi. The lofts are available in 5 different types of rooms:

* 3 studio lofts, each with a queen-size bed and sitting area;
* 3 two-bedroom lofts with king-size bed in the master bedroom, built-in single bunks in the second bedroom, and fully equipped kitchenette;
* 3 deluxe one-bedroom lofts with king-size bed in the bedroom, bump-out soaker tub with spectacular view in the bathroom, and full kitchenette;
* 2 one-bedroom lofts with queen-size bed, kitchenette and living room; and
* 1 deluxe two-bedroom loft with queen-size bed and private 3-piece bath in master bedroom, second bedroom with queen-size bed and built-in single bunks, generous living/dining area and fully equipped kitchenette.

Tempt your taste buds in the Quarterdeck Grill, which has gained a reputation as the South Shore’s foremost destination for inspired beachside dining. The tastefully designed dining room provides a 180-degree view of Summerville Beach. Our team is committed to supporting local farmers, fishermen and producers, creating a unique Maritime experience! In addition to the locally sourced food menu, the Grill features wines from around the province and boasts a good selection of local craft beer.

The Grill offers seating for 110 people inside and 40 people on the deck, open year round, with a state-of-the-art conference centre upstairs. With a view you will always remember and a taste you will never forget, the Quarterdeck Grill will keep you coming back for more.

Directly behind the 12-unit beach lofts is the 2,600-square-foot recreation facility. Guests can enjoy the small indoor pool, sauna, fitness room, 18-seat private theatre and large lounging room with games and 52” TV. These amenities are available for guests to enjoy 365 days a year. New for 2023 is our large outdoor in-ground swimming pool.

The perfect spot for your next wedding, corporate meeting, Christmas party, reception or just a get-together is our 730-square-foot Oceanside meeting space with spectacular ocean view. There is so much to see and do while you are here – beachcombing, beach volleyball, kayaking, enjoying a relaxing massage, or just sitting back and soaking in the view.
