Shooter's Lodge is located on the Miramichi River in Upper Blackville in Central New Brunswick. Shooter's Lodge is family owned and operated and is not just a business, but a family getaway as well. The Lodge is a fully functioning camp with electricity and running water. We have 5 comfortable, private bedrooms, a full bath, kitchen/living area, screened in porch, large deck, satellite TV and lots of room to relax. We are rated 3.5 stars by Canada Select.

Spring Bear season starts in late April and finishes at the end of June. We hunt 4 weeks of the season (last week of May and the first 3 weeks in June) and cater to small groups of 2-3 hunters per week. This allows us to give a personal service that clients deserve. My goal is to provide my clients with the same experience that I would expect to get from outfitter.

The majority of my bear baits are 20-25 yards from the stands for archery hunters. The stands are large enough to easily seat 2 people and built to accommodate comfortable chairs. If a hunter has a favorite chair, such as an archery swivel chair etc., they are encouraged to bring it. However, we do provide chairs.

I maintain several sites for moose and place mineral licks out in early spring. We have had a good success rate with family and friends who have hunted moose with us.
