Close to Cape Split (home to amazing hiking trails and birdwatching), the Lookoff, Blomidon Park, Kingsport Beach and the world's highest tides.

- Around 1770 the lot was deeded to Samuel Starr, formerly of the Connecticut Militia, who in 1764 became Lieutenant of the Kings County Militia. He was promoted steadily and was commissioned Captain in 1775 and Major in 1781

- In 1869 Charles Heales, a ship's carpenter from New Brunswick bought the property. Mr Heales had a wooden leg. His four daughters were educated at Acadia University
